This movie. JESUS CHRIST this movie. Saw it last night. 14/10. Jake Gyllehaal is pretty much hardcore Aspergers Travis Bickle. He is a total sociopath, and never once do you root for him, yet you still stay totally glued to him. Gratuitous Challenger 392 porn throughout. Imagine taxi driver mixed with autism shot in the same style as Drive. Beautiful, beautiful cinematography. Also a cool ass chase scene with a 2nd gen Escalade Platinum, some LAPD Panthers, and a 392 Challenger. At the end.

IMO, Lou is more of a straight-up psychopath than an Aspie, especially when he admits that it's not that he doesn't "get" people, he just doesn't like them. But in addition to everything you already mentioned....
Everyone go see it so you can understand exactly how false the whole "hurr durr women only say ugly guys are creepy and attractive guys are never creepy!" thing is. Because Jake Gyllenhall is conventionally attractive and plays THE BIGGEST CREEP IN THE WORLD.

Saw it last night. Such a great movie but so many challenged morals! It's lrobably one of the nest movies I've seen in an long time.
